Objectives:

    Recognize students that have exceeded OCHS science requirements

    Elevate awareness of the importance of STEM education and careers

    Engage with the community through science related volunteer service

    Provide additional science educational opportunities outside of class

 

Membership:

Members may participate in the meetings and activities of SNHS without meeting the GPA requirements.  However, in order to receive Honors designation at graduation, students must achieve the following:

 

Honors Standing Requirements:

    Sophomore standing and above with recommendation from science teacher

    Committed to 4 years of science and 1.5 credits of Honors or AP science

    GPA in science courses of 3.2 unweighted or 3.5 weighted

    Participation in at least three Science Honor Society activities each year
