Oregon City High School seniors visited Clackamas Community College last Wednesday. This visit helped seniors to accomplish one of their requirements for senior project and get ready for college.
Clackamas Community College staff helped students by answering most of the questions they had about CCC.
The visit contained a presentation about many programs that students can attend at Clackamas Community College, such as health science, welding, teaching, engineering, nursing, business, dental assistant, and many more.
Senior Nina Nova went to the CCC visit and really liked it. “I found out that CCC has a program for dental assisting. I found out that CCC doesn’t have big classes. The average class size are about 23 people, which I really like,” said Nova.
Senior Tim Vargas also went to the CCC visit last Wednesday.“ The visit made me feel more familiar to the campus,” said Vargas. “I felt more informed on how to apply for the school and how I can save money by going to a community college than a university,” said Vargas.
Clackamas Community College allows all types of learning skills to enter to their school. No ACT or SAT scores are required. There aren’t any admission deadlines and applying to CCC can be done at anytime.
CCC has given out more than $600,000 in scholarships every year. Financial aid is provided at this school as well.
Clackamas Community College also has many extra curricular activities students can join, such as art and culture clubs, student leadership. They also have many athletic programs including basketball, baseball, track and field, soccer, volleyball, wrestling, and many more.
